McDermott Strengthens Real Estate Practice with New Partner in Frankfurt
McDermott Will & Emery expands its real estate practice in Frankfurt. As of 16 September 2019, Frank Müller joins as a partner from Corpus Sireo Real Estate.
“Frank Müller’s regulatory expertise perfectly complements our advisory services for institutional investors and capital management companies,” says Dr. Jens Ortmanns, head of McDermott’s practice group Real Estate. “Our clients will benefit from this addition not only in the areas of general regulatory and investment law but also during transactions involving regulated investors, and especially unit deals, on which we increasingly advise.”
On November 1, 2019, Dr Claudia Benz will join McDermott, who also comes from Corpus Sireo Real Estate and has already worked closely with Frank Müller. Claudia Benz was previously an in-house lawyer with the German Investment and Asset Management Association (Bundesverband Investment und Asset Management e.V., BVI) and at Universal Investment. Like Frank Müller, she has many years of experience in investment and supervisory law. In Frankfurt, the McDermott team around tax partner Dr. Kian Tauser already advises the firm’s real estate clients on investment law and investment tax law.
“With the addition of Frank Müller and Claudia Benz, we are driving forward the strategic expansion of our practice and our Frankfurt team. Both are excellently positioned, very well connected in the market and fit perfectly into our team,” adds Joseph Marx, head of McDermott’s Frankfurt office.
