Overview
Thomas Beisken counsels clients on all aspects of real estate law, with an emphasis on the following:
- Real estate transactions (asset and share deals, single asset and portfolio transactions)
- Project development
- Property and asset management-related advice
- Commercial tenancy law
Thomas is also experienced in real estate matters in connection with retail, logistics and litigation.
As a legal trainee at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf, Thomas worked, inter alia, for an international law firm in Düsseldorf and Hong Kong in the fields of real estate and banking and finance law. He subsequently worked for the same firm for four additional years as fully qualified lawyer, where he advised clients with regard to real estate law and related litigation.
Results
- Advised on the sale of a pan-European property portfolio, including twelve office properties in the UK, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden and Germany
- Served as lead counsel in the acquisition of the multi-story office tower Pollux by an investment vehicle of a major US private equity funds
- Advised a leading German life insurance company on the acquisition of two retail and office premises in Hannover and Mannheim
- Advised on the sale of three portfolios of a London-based real estate investment management company
- Advised a Düsseldorf-based real estate boutique on various investments in local office and retail premises
- Serves as counsel for ongoing property and asset management advice for various property owners
