Elese Hanson focuses her practice on advising life science companies in strategic business transactions such as licensing, joint ventures, and collaborations involving research, development, marketing, supply, clinical development and co-promotion of pharmaceutical, diagnostic and medical device products.
Prior to joining McDermott, Elese served as in-house counsel to a specialty generic pharmaceutical company where she was responsible for the company’s ongoing patent litigation, portfolio development and related due diligence.
Elese is an active member of Women in Bio, an organization dedicated to the advancement of women in the life sciences industry, and serves as vice-chair of the nationally recognized Boardroom Ready program.
