Dr. Tobias Koppmann advises clients on cross-border and domestic corporate transactions, with a particular focus on private equity and M&A. He has extensive experience in leveraged buy-outs, management buy-outs, minority investments, growth and venture capital, as well as management participation programs. Tobias also regularly advises corporate clients and portfolio companies on strategic M&A transactions, general corporate law matters, corporate governance, joint ventures, restructurings and capital markets law (including exit IPOs).
Prior to joining McDermott, Tobias worked for two other international leading law firms in the area of Private Equity, M&A and Corporate. In 2011, he was seconded to Hong Kong advising clients on IPOs and in 2007/2008 to Axel Springer AG’s in-house legal M&A department advising on media and digital business transactions. Tobias completed his legal clerkship in Nuremberg, Frankfurt, and in Melbourne, Australia.
