Nexus Sea focuses his practice on complex litigation and dispute resolution matters. Nexus is an experienced litigator and trial lawyer who has worked with Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions and pharmaceutical companies, representing clients in complex disputes in state and federal courts.
Nexus has experience in the areas of product liability defense and mass tort litigation, and held a leadership role as part of the national counsel team for a multi-national pharmaceutical company in the defense of its consumer product in various state courts across the country. One emerging area of law that Nexus focuses his practice on is the impact of Artificial Intelligence on existing product liability regimes.
In addition Nexus has successfully conducted internal investigations for financial institutions. Nexus also played a prominent role in the court-appointed counsel team to the Securities Investor Protection Act Trustee for the global liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC and in the representation of numerous individual foreign claimants in connection with allegations of foreign government corruption and alleged money laundering in the largest civil forfeiture action brought under the United States Department of Justice’s Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Initiative.
Nexus is a founding member of “1844” – an association of nearly 60 African American male attorneys – created as a vehicle to promote collaboration, business development, and mentorship among Big Law attorneys of color. He served as President of the Nigerian Lawyers Association from 2014-2016, where he promoted building strong, diverse communities at home and abroad. Nexus is also a member of the Metropolitan Black Bar Association, where he mentors college and law students who are interested in private practice.

Defended international Fortune 500 bank and premises owner in over 340 toxic tort personal injury suits arising from the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.*
Secured summary judgment victory for multinational Fortune 500 pharmaceutical and its antiplatelet aggregation prescription product in wrongful death suit alleging failure-to-warn.*
Served as a member of the court-appointed counsel team to the Securities Investor Protection Act Trustee, in connection with trial strategy involving a significant Madoff feeder fund.*
Successfully conducted internal investigation, on behalf of fund-of-funds, relating to alleged “cross-trades” and helped prepare report concerning the legal implications of the trades and impact on the business.*
Successfully prepared FINRA action on behalf of an international Fortune 500 bank against corporate raiders who sought to unlawfully poach its wealth management department, achieving a favorable settlement.*
Participated in defense of various claimants in connection with largest kleptocracy forfeiture action brought by the US government involving funds allegedly stolen by a former West African dictator. *
Led defensive discovery team for a national False Claims Act litigation involving defective PVC pipe, including creating e-discovery plan, interviewing potential fact witnesses, and responding to interrogatories and document requests. *
Defended several asbestos-related product liability cases filed in New Jersey. *
Participated in defense of a multinational Fortune 500 food and beverage company in breach of contract action involving multimillion-dollar procurement agreement. *
Handled complex commercial litigation matter involving the wrongful termination of a television distribution agreement, resulting in a successful temporary restraining order. *
