McDermott was among 12 law firms recognized for their work on the OGX debt restructuring, which received a 2015 Global Legal Award as “Global Finance Deal of the Year: Restructuring (South America).” The restructuring of the energy company was the largest ever under Brazilian bankruptcy law and featured a three-tranche debtor-in-possession financing which was the first to be carried out by international creditors in the Brazilian market.
