Carlyn McCaffrey said that, in light of President-Elect Trump’s proposal to cap itemized tax deductions, “Our clients are definitely discussing the potential advantages of charitable gifts in 2016.” Ms. McCaffrey added that, with another Trump proposal to cut the top tax rate, “There is an effort to minimize income this year” by taxpayers.
