(February 1, 2016) — International law firm McDermott Will & Emery and eight of the Firm’s partners have been named among the world’s leading trademark firms and practitioners in the sixth annual WTR 1000 as issued by World Trademark Review.
The WTR 1000 is a comprehensive guide that shines a spotlight on the firms and individuals that are deemed outstanding in the field of trademark law. McDermott’s Firm wide trademark practice was chosen as a global leader in this year’s WTR 1000 based on depth of expertise, market presence and the level of work handled by the team. The publication highlights the “…globally focused, high-level nature of McDermott Will & Emery’s practice…with practitioners [who] have a broad spectrum of experience and always think outside the box.”
The WTR 1000 also includes eight individual McDermott partners among their list of the 2016 leading trademark professionals. The eight McDermott practitioners recognized for their work are Jorge Arciniega (Los Angeles), Lynne Boisineau (Orange County), John Dabney (Washington, DC), Margaret Duncan (Chicago), Richard Kim (Washington, DC), Joanne Ludovici (Washington, DC), Jennifer Mikulina (Chicago) and Robert Zelnick (Washington, DC). These individuals were chosen based on sufficient positive feedback from market sources with knowledge of their practice and the markets in which they operate. The publication highlights McDermott’s partners as “all-purpose problem solvers” with “an astounding depth of knowledge in the trademark space.” The publication goes on to recognize that McDermott’s “…full-service nature allows [its trademark partners] to draft in expertise from other departments at the drop of a hat.”
