Overview
McDermott was noted for its pro bono advocacy efforts for Sikh-Americans to serve in the US Army with their articles of faith intact. Under new rules five Sikhs have been granted approval to do so, the largest induction of Sikhs into the US armed forces after the Department of Defense banned visible articles of faith in 1981.
