7th Circ. Judge Troubled by Religious Pilgrim Fraud Sentence

Krista Pikus, who with Joshua Buchman is representing a travel agent convicted of defrauding religious pilgrims, told a Seventh Circuit judge that the sentence handed down in the case “needs to still be supported by sufficient findings.” Ms. Pikus argued that the lower court “aggregated the victims into a single group. That type of extrapolation is inappropriate.”
