SILICON VALLEY (August 5, 2016) — McDermott Will & Emery partner A. Marisa Chun has been selected by The Recorder as one of this year’s elite “Women Leaders in Tech Law.” The annual program celebrates the recent achievements of top California women attorneys “who handle game-changing, law-shaping, market-moving work in and around the technology sector.” Ms. Chun was also recognized for this honor in 2013.
As a member of McDermott’s global Litigation Practice Group, Ms. Chun combines her trial experience, judgment, and knowledge of intellectual property law to advocate for tech and other clients in high stakes, bet-the-company litigation. She has used this passion in litigating three major intellectual property jury trials in the past three years.

Prior to joining McDermott, Ms. Chun served as US Deputy Associate Attorney General at the Department of Justice. She advised the Associate Attorney General and the Department’s leadership on intellectual property, antitrust, privacy, telecommunications, health care fraud, and Korea-related matters, and oversaw certain major litigation matters in the Antitrust and Civil Divisions.
Ms. Chun and the other honorees will be featured in a special issue of The Recorder that publishes on September 26, 2016 and will be honored at a reception in San Francisco on September 29, 2016.
