Health care partners Joan Polacheck, Kate McDonald, Jeremy Earl, Ankur Goel and tax partner Timothy Shuman led the McDermott team that advised CVS Health on its $69 billion purchase of Aetna Inc. Also of note is that health partner Karen Owen Gibbs was a vice president and senior counsel at the predecessor to CVS Health before she joined McDermott.
