Tony Maida said that President Trump’s planned funding increase for the Health Care Fraud and Abuse Control program “shows that this administration seems poised to follow the lead of past administrations in keeping the spotlight on healthcare fraud enforcement.” Whether the funding would go toward analytics or additional law enforcement is unknown, although Mr. Maida said there is typically a “greater need for more people to act on whatever the data analysis shows.
