Munich (June 6, 2018) Leading international law firm, McDermott Will & Emery has appointed Dr. Tobias Koppmann to the firm’s transactional practice. Joining as partner, Tobias is based in the firm’s Munich office. Tobias specializes in national and cross-border M&A and private equity transactions. He advises financial investors, family offices and portfolio companies on all aspects of private equity investments, bolt-on acquisitions and exits. In addition, he advises industrial and family-owned companies on commercial and corporate law, and in particular on strategic M&A transactions. He joins the firm from a German law firm.

Tobias Koppmann is the fifth transaction professional to join McDermott in Germany as a partner this year. In April, a team of corporate lawyers specializing in life sciences led by partners Dr. Rüdiger Herrmann and Jochen Eimer, joined the Frankfurt McDermott office, followed in May by Dr. Bernd Meyer-Witting and Florian Lechner. In Germany McDermott has 55 lawyers in the area of Corporate & Transactional, including 27 partners.
