Amandeep Sidhu said in an interview that his pro bono work with the Sikh Coalition, which led to a US Army directive that Sikh-American soldiers could keep their articles of faith, was an “effort to build a ‘proof of concept’ that the Sikh articles of faith are completely compatible with our military’s safety and uniformity standards” and will “make us stronger” by reflecting a diversity of faiths.
