Amanda Enyeart, Daniel Gottlieb and Randall Ortman were cited as authors of a report on HHS Office for Civil Rights enforcement regarding alleged HIPAA violations. The authors described “a pattern of increased enforcement” during 2014, in which “the resolution agreements and corrective action plans suggest certain areas of focus for OCR,” adding, “Covered entities and business associates should be mindful of these areas of focus when reviewing their HIPAA compliance programs.”
