James Kim said the Supreme Court’s upholding of a lower court’s rejection of the Obama Administrations eased immigration policy, “ represents a missed opportunity to protect the rights of undocumented LGBTQ individuals and their families, who are some of the most vulnerable subpopulations” to seek asylum because home country persecution. Such individuals and families are “at continued risk and we will continue to advocate on their behalf,” Mr. Kim added.
