Andrew Liazos said it will be interesting to see how companies in the immediate future comply with the SEC’s new executive pay disclosure rule, as lawsuits or legislation (possibly based on dissenting votes from two Republican-appointed commissioners) could derail the rule before it takes effect. “There is quite a bit to happen” before the SEC releases the disclosure information, Mr. Liazos noted. “Given the variety of ways this information might be used we will have to wait and see how it plays out before we know what impact it is going to have.”
