Todd Solomon urged employers to start implementing anti-discrimination policies for transgender employees, whether or not they currently have such persons in their workplace. “It’s a lot harder to react to one of these situations when you don’t have the procedures in place,” said Mr. Solomon. “It goes a long way not only towards limiting legal liability, but towards assuring people they’ll be taken care of and their needs will be met.”
