Britt Haxton, who received financial support from McDermott’s Washington office for a service trip to Kenya to work with the Every Girl Counts youth development nonprofit, said that “when we are able to do the type of work that we find fulfilling and we know we’re supported by our bosses to do that, I feel very rewarded and proud to do the work I’m doing as a tax lawyer.” Ms. Haxton added that upon her return “I realized I have been given so many opportunities.
