McDermott corporate lawyers were noted as outside counsel for Canadian drugstore chain Jean Coutu Group Inc. when it bought part of the Eckerd drugstore chain in 2004. The Group is now reportedly in talks to be acquired by Canadian grocer Metro Inc.
