Stephen Kranz submitted comments to the Alabama Department of Revenue criticizing the department’s proposed tax on online video rentals and streaming, in which he wrote: “The purchase of streamed music and movies is not the equivalent of the purchase of a CD or DVD. T]he Department is attempting to expand its application . . . to an entirely new set of transactions.”
