Terrence Dee, a first-chair trial lawyer and product liability litigator currently defending a mass-tort case regarding the health effects of cellphones, joined McDermott’s Chicago office as a partner in a move that he said “will allow for continued growth, both in terms of [a major] client and in that practice area of products liability and outside that area.” Mr. Dee said he made his move after concluding that McDermott “was an excellent firm” where he would not have to contend with client conflicts of interest that existed at his former firm.
