Joanne Ludovici assessed the trademark filing that entertainer Katy Perry sought regarding her Super Bowl halftime performance. Despite media reports, Ms. Ludovici said most of Perry’s numerous registration applications were not affected by an easily rectified initial rejection. “She filed under six classes and only the service mark class was refused,” Ms. Ludovici noted. “This happens all the time.
