Mark Pearlstein suggested that, if Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s lawyers seek a change of venue, prosecutors could cite the lengthy jury deliberations needed to convict a friend for aiding Tsarnaev as proof that potential jurors “are not so overwhelmed by the tragic context of the marathon bombings and are actually able to sift through the evidence very carefully” while providing a fair trial.
