LOS ANGELES, ORANGE COUNTY and SILICON VALLEY (April 22, 2015) — Three McDermott Will & Emery partners have been selected by the Daily Journal, California’s largest legal news provider, for its 2015 rankings of the “Top 25 Portfolio Managers.”
The partners included in this year’s edition are global head of McDermott’s IP Prosecution, Transactions & Strategy Practice Group, Mark J. Itri, and top portfolio managers Jorge Arciniega, and Judy Mohr, Ph.D. This is the seventh time that Mr. Itri has been selected for this ranking, the fourth time for Mr. Arciniega, and the first time for Dr. Mohr.
The Daily Journal’s annual list of “Top 25 Portfolio Managers” showcases California’s top intellectual property attorneys compiled from hundreds of nominations. Finalists are determined by the impact of their work and achievements in the intellectual property arena. Having three McDermott partners chosen for this exclusive list speaks to the Firm’s great strength and reputation in intellectual property portfolio management.
The three partners chosen for this prestigious list represent the well-rounded services offered by McDermott’s IP Prosecution, Transactions & Strategy Practice Group. Mr. Itri, based in the Firm’s Orange County office, has extensive experience in various technology sectors and is well-known for the breadth and variety of his international and Fortune 100 client base. Dr. Mohr, from the Silicon Valley office, uses her strong technical background to assess portfolios and provide strategic advice in the pharmaceutical, medical diagnostics, medical device, and gas and liquid separations industries. Rounding out the group, from the Firm’s Los Angeles office, Mr. Arciniega has over 30 years of experience guiding companies in global trademark portfolio management, from selection to clearance to prosecution to enforcement. Together, these partners represent McDermott’s ability to pull from various backgrounds and expertise in order to provide clients with a wide variety of IP portfolio experience spanning across various industries with respect to all aspects of intellectual property.
