Diann Smith commented on the new version of Delaware’s estimation method for abandoned or unclaimed property, which replaces a previous method invalidated by a federal court. “I would have loved to see some acknowledgement by Delaware of some of the criticisms in the Temple-Inland case, but I didn’t expect it, so I’m not surprised that the regulations — both the initial ones and the revised ones — did not change it,” Ms. Smith said.
