Robert Cordy is representing a bank that provides services to a medical marijuana dispensary whose neighbors sued both the dispensary and the bank, arguing that federal law prohibiting marijuana should pre-empt Massachusetts state law. “I’m very hopeful the federal court will act on this and make it clear that to the extent there are residual issues here, they really are political issues that Congress needs to resolve,” Mr. Cordy said.
