Mark Pearlstein, Frederic Firestone, and Laura McLane represented one of two investment fund executives charged by the SEC with misrepresenting a bond fund. An agency judge had refused to sanction the two executives, but in a 3-2 vote the SEC commissioners imposed a fine on them.
