E-Records to Draw Health Fraud Scrutiny After OIG Report

Daniel Gottlieb commented regarding an Office of Inspector General report that only a small fraction of Medicare audit contractor firms had received detailed EHR compliance instruction from regulators, saying that most such companies “don’t have a lot of guidance on how to identify fraudulent electronic records. They’re applying the basic principles of the paper world.”
