Todd Solomon predicted that if North Carolina does not respond to a DoJ request that it remedy civil rights violations in its so-called “bathroom bill,” the state “could face losing federal funding—state public schools receive $861 million in federal funding.” Mr. Solomon added that the bill regarding transgender bathroom use affects state government employers but does not cover private employers.
