Stephan Rau said that favorable clinic ownership regulation is a big reason why Central and Eastern Europe’s healthcare industry is attractive to domestic and international investors. “In contrast to Western Europe and the US, all of the restrictions surrounding the ownership of clinics generally do not exist in CEE [where] you can just buy the labs [without] regulatory restrictions,” Mr. Rau explained.
