Lisa Schmitz Mazur said that with the end of Internet neutrality provisions, telemedicine costs “are going up,” which “could be a problem” for some hospitals. “If we add on to costs with paying more to ISPs or for better quality of internet,” many hospitals must cut back telemedicine services, she continued. “There’s a lack of reimbursement for those services. If that gets better we can justify those costs. But we didn’t see a lot of increase in revenue despite high hopes.”
