Overview
Carolyn Gleason became the first female partner-in-charge of McDermott’s Washington office, asserting that “it’s a good time to be growing our D.C. office” particularly through hiring lateral partners such as Jay Reiziss in IP. Ms. Gleason said she accepted the post because “I’m at the point in my career where I believe it’s appropriate to give back,” and pledged to “continue the path” of growth set by predecessor Paul Thompson. Mr. Thompson, one of the 21 lawyers on the Firm’s Management Committee, said he also will continue to help recruit lateral hires, particularly in the white-collar area.
