McDermott’s Washington, DC office was among a record 33 law firms in the District that were honored for having at least 40 percent of firm attorneys perform at least 50 hours of pro bono service in the past year. The firms were recognized in remarks by Chief Judge Merrick Garland, nominated by the President to a seat on the US Supreme Court.
