Overview
Michael Peregrine addressed health care governance issues for 2018. He said attorneys need to advise boards on digital health and other evolving issues that could require significant corporate culture and business model changes, such as the entry of Silicon Valley firms into traditional health-care fields. He also predicted that hospital boards will oversee compliance departments more closely out of fear that IRS enforcement actions could result in a revocation of nonprofit hospital tax-exemption.
