Health Policy Experts Suggest Ways for GOP to Deal with CSR Payments

Jeremy Earl, speaking at a recent Bipartisan Policy Center event, said Republicans must decide if they will continue the ACA’s cost-sharing reduction payments because insurers set rates by early April and must say by July 4 whether they will stay in the market. Mr. Earl noted that a lack of those payments would throw off the rating process but suggested that Republicans create an appropriation for the funds for 2018.
