Mark Pearlstein said in this online radio interview that he was “surprised” a jury found former NFL football player Aaron Hernandez guilty of first-degree murder. “I thought the defense did a very good job of raising at least the prospect of reasonable doubt in the minds of a juror or two,” Mr. Pearlstein noted. “They highlighted the defects in the case, in which it was a purely circumstantial case”
