Eric Zimmerman said he was “not optimistic” that latest congressional talks on a permanent fix to Medicare’s sustainable growth-rate (SGR) formula for paying doctors will materialize this month. Instead, Mr. Zimmerman continued, “I think it’s more likely that we’re looking at another short-term patch” in the SGR formula structure.
