How Casinos Failed Atlantic City and Why They’re Still Part of Its Future

Timothy Walsh assessed the problems of Atlantic City’s gaming casino by noting that a “big issue you have is the easing of casino restrictions in neighboring states. That takes away a lot of the draw to Atlantic City.” Although Atlantic City casinos have problems from overexpansion and high energy costs, Mr. Walsh added that they “have the possibility of rebounding, but only if they are able to come up with a strategy to attract players from the neighboring states.”
