Hybrid Origin-Sourcing Debated at Governing Board Meeting

Stephen Kranz spoke at the annual conference of the Streamlined Sales Tax Governing Board about a proposed hybrid origin-sourcing alternative to the Marketplace Fairness Act of 2013 (MFA). “I’ve described the alternatives to the MFA as a parade of bad ideas,” Mr. Kranz asserted. “This is the worst of the bad ideas in part because it’s disguised to be good.”
