Investors Against States – International Arbitration on the Spot

Sabine Konrad, one of four German members on the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), discussed in this radio interview the use of arbitration for investors in the EU-US Free Trade Agreement (TTIP). The arbitration provision has drawn criticism as being too pro-business, but Ms. Konrad used her experience to describe the practice of international arbitration and how it compares to the German judiciary.
