Stephen Kranz praised the IRS for releasing its state information sharing agreements. “We’ve had numerous matters where information sharing agreements between the states and the IRS have been relevant,” Mr. Kranz said. “It has always been difficult to get accurate current information about those agreements, and we have found that there appears to be a routine lack of compliance with the information sharing rules that exist at the state level and between the states and the IRS,” he added.
