Is Territoriality Still Meaningful?

Jacques Buhart and Louise Aberg contributed to this panel, devoted to the issue of the geographical scope of competition laws, mainly antitrust law in the public enforcement context.

According to the principles of international law, the territoriality principle shall be respected both to determine the jurisdiction to prescribe and the jurisdiction to enforce. However, the development of competition laws worldwide raises some new issues which the authors explore in the context of both globalization and increasing development of numerical economy.
