Michael Nadel, Natalie Bennett and Jennifer Routh secured a $5.2 million trade secret misappropriation judgment for the maker of a fig jam, believed to be the first jury verdict under the 2016 Defend Trade Secrets Act. Mr. Nadel showed how, after the jam maker terminated contracts with a distributor and supplier, they conspired to create and sell a similarly made and named product – “as close as you get to a smoking gun in trade secret litigation,” Mr. Nadel said.
