Sarah Chapin Columbia, Russell Hayman, Jon Dean, Julian Andre and Jeffrey Gargano were the McDermott lawyers on the team that successfully defended BlackBerry Ltd. against a Dutch semiconductor manufacturer’s allegations of patent infringement involving wireless communication circuitry. A Florida federal jury found that BlackBerry did not infringe the patents and that the patents asserted against BlackBerry were invalid.
