Overview
Amandeep Sidhu, co-founder of the Sikh Coalition, said the strengthening of religious accommodation from the Supreme Court’s Abercrombie decision has “far-reaching implications not only for Muslims, but for Sikhs and other religious minorities with visible articles of faith, like headscarves and turbans, that often come in conflict with so-called ‘look policies’” of employers. Mr. Sidhu continued that the decision “marks the end of that era” when businesses can no longer defend such policies “as pretext for discrimination.”
