Justices Likely to Set New Tax Standard for Remote Vendors

Stephen Kranz said regarding the Supreme Court decision to hear the South Dakota v. Wayfair Inc. case on state sales tax nexus that a quarter-century of inaction by Congress “has forced the states to turn to the judiciary. The organizations who opposed simplification and federal legislative efforts to address the issue should be concerned that they wasted their best and last opportunity to rationalize the rules.”
