A group of attorneys representing a cluster of tech giants notched a victory on Nov. 30in a patent row related to long-term evolution, or LTE, wireless technology. The Patent Trial and Appeal Board invalidated numerous infringement claims brought by Texas-based Evolved Wireless LLC against Apple Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Microsoft Corp., HTC Corp. and ZTE (USA) Inc. ZTE is represented by Charles M. McMahon and Hersh H. Mehta of McDermott Will & Emery LLP.
