Lexmark May Be Liable For Attacking Printer-Cartridge Rivals, Supreme Court Says

M. Miller Baker called the unanimous Supreme Court Lexmark decision in favor of his client Static Control “a landmark case on the issue of standing.” The Court’s ruling that Static Control had the standing to sue another company under the Lanham Act for misrepresentation even though the company was not a direct competitor “clears up a lot of confusion about the law that can be traced to prior Supreme Court decisions,” Mr. Miller said.
